I wish she recovers soon, and you have many good trips and nice stories to tell.

Best wishes!

I know you guys are going to get to the bottom of this. I do so look forward to the pictures of your first great ride of the season. A weak spark might be a clue though. But I would expect this machine to roar into life for all the work you put into it. Good luck.

She's got fuel, fire, and air, which is what is confusing the hell out of us and most of the folks on the owner forums. Her compression is good (pistons, gaskets, & cylinders are new, if we are to believe this guy), the plugs are sparking (a bit weakly, but it should be enough), and we've confirmed that fuel is making it to the engine (it spits out if we kick her over with the plugs out). A bad ignition or interrupter is pretty much the only thing left that could really be wrong.

Dear Kelsey:

I'd be pretty pissed if I were you too. After 5 months in the shop, I'd expect the bike to start on the third kick. But ignition is a faily simple thing. It's a mixture of gas, oxygen, and spark. If you can smell the gas, my guess is it's the spark. And as guys like Charlie6 will confirm, that's easy enough to deal with.

Good luck with this... I'm sure it's something simple. (I just got tapped for a fuel pump. Life is never really easy.)
