As I mentioned in my post yesterday, after attending the DC Travel TweetUp, I felt that it would be really cool if folks attending other TweetUps around the country and the globe could have business cards done in the style of Twitter. Here is what I came up with:
One of the problem with using standard business cards at a TweetUp is that unless the person lists their twitter info on the card, there’s no way to later remember the Twitter connection, short of writing down the name on the back (which also requires the back to be blank). Using my card allows the person’s real name and their twitter name to be known, while also being memorable in its playfulness.
The actual design is modeled after the “following” page on Twitter. I combined design elements of that page along with the standard text input box that has come to be associated with Twitter. If you want to see an example of a filled out card, you can check out mine over here.
The files included in the zip file are the original PSD (Photoshop) file and a .txt file with information about where to download the relevant fonts for free. The PSD includes guides for both crop lines and safety lines for printing, so you don’t accidentally let your text get cropped in the printing process. A simple google search for “free business card printing” will turn up several services that will print a limited run just for the cost of shipping. I have had luck in the past with 123print.com, and they offer 100 cards for $3.95. The cost of my template, the cards, and shipping, 100 twitter cards should run you around $10 total. $10 for 100 Twitter cards is a pretty good deal, I think!
You can purchase my template for $3 by clicking on the button below. If this sells well, I will definitely look into offering similar things for sale again in the future. If you have any questions or problems, please contact me at driftingfocus@gmail.com. Clicking on the button below will direct you to paypal where you can pay for the item and then you will be automatically directed to a download link.
Thank you for taking a look at the first product I’ve ever sold on this site, and for those of you who have opted to purchase the template, you have helped to put me that much closer to being able to shift my work life further into my creative endeavors!
If you enjoyed this product, even if you did not purchase it, please spread the word!
