Some of you may have noticed that I have changed the name of my “Life in Korea” category to “Expat Life”. I’ve chosen to do this for a few reasons.
First of all, if I end up living in another country again, I would want the posts to be in their own category, as my Korean posts were, but I see little reason to make yet another category for yet another post. Perhaps even a bigger reason is that “Expat Life” is a more accurate name for what I want that category of posts to become. I want it to be not only a record of my time in Korea, but also posts on what expat life is like there even now that I’m gone (which is why I continue to occasionally post on Korean politics, etc), as well as helpful tips for folks considering moving abroad themselves, as indiciated by my recent call for questions in my new post series, Living Overseas. I feel that those posts don’t accurately fit under the category of “life in Korea”, but they also don’t fit under the “personal blog” category as well, hence the new title of “expat life”.
